How do you decode MALIGNED on VMS?

Well, this is a bit on the subtle side.  What you've done is to create a DCL
symbol that _runs_ a program.  What you need is a command that activates an
image.  Enough mumbo/jumbo.  Redo the line in your login.com to be

                     $ UUD :== ${directory stuff}UUD.EXE

and see if that doesn't make your error message go away.
