Habitat Restoration, Pacifica, CA., 10/21/95

Help community volunteers, the Site Stewards of Milagra Ridge, and 
the National Park Service continue the restoration of the Milagra Ridge
Section of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Milagra Ridge is one of the few remaining sites where the endangered
Mission Blue and San Bruno Elfin butterflies survive.  The Ridge is 
also home to a variety of wild life and a wide variety of native 
plants.

Restoration activities will include removal of exotic plants such as
Pampas grass and Scotch broom.  We will also have a short talk 
during our lunch break about how plants survive drought by 
Ken Marsocci, one of the Stewards.

Bring:	Your family and friends, work gloves if you have them, 
        a lunch, and something to drink.  Wear comfortable work
        clothes (long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes) 
        appropriate for the weather.  Tools and snacks will be
        provided.

Date:   Saturday, October 21st, 1995
        Note:  Work days at Milagra are scheduled on the third Saturday
               of the month. (11/18/95, 12/16/95, 1/20/96, 2/17/96 ...)

Where:	Milagra Ridge, Pacifica, CA.
	To get to Milagra Ridge, from Skyline Boulevard (Rt. 35) in 
        Pacifica, take Sharp Park Road west to College, make a 
        sharp right at College and continue to the entrance gate
        at the end of the driveway.  From Highway 1 in Pacifica, 
        take Sharp Park Road east to College Drive.  Turn left 
        at College.
