Two Faculty Positions in Biological Physics

Department of Physics and Astronomy
Western Kentucky University

Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for two tenure-
track positions conducting research at the intersection of physics and
biology starting August 2008. One of the hires will be an entry-level,
assistant professor position and the second position will be at either
the assistant or associate professor level.

A Ph.D. in Physics or a related area is required and postdoctoral
experience is strongly preferred. Applicants must demonstrate a strong
interest in and aptitude for teaching a wide range of undergraduate
physics courses, and are expected to establish an active research
program involving undergraduates. Excellent candidates that demonstrate
a strong connection to other pre-existing areas of research within the
department will also receive full consideration. Details and
application instructions are listed at
http://physics.wku.edu/facultysearch/application.html. Screening will
begin on 10 January 2008 and will continue until the position is
filled. WKU is committed to expanding the ethnic and gender diversity
within its faculty. AA/EEO
