Postdoctoral position. A one-year position is available immediately at
the Texas A&M College of Pharmacy to study gene function in
Mycobacterium smegmatis. Student will create targeted knockout
mutations in selected genes and examine the mutants in a phenotypic
array and with enzyme assays. Applicants must have significant
experience with a wide range of molecular biology techniques.
Applicants must be able to move into this position very quickly,
making it unlikely that they can come directly from outside of the US
due to immigration delays. There are possibilities for extending the
position beyond one year.
