Ph.D - ADME Scientist, San Diego, CA

Our client in San Diego, CA is seeking a Ph.D ADME Scientist. Their target 
discovery platform is based on adenoviruses that efficiently introduce human 
gene sequences into a wide variety of human cells to knock-in or knock-down 
specific proteins. The position pays $90K - $110K annually.

Description:  This Position's role would include but is not limited to:
·Recruitment and leadership of a team of experimental in vitro ADME 
scientists who will provide high quality ADME services to biotech and pharma 
companies.
·Ability to work with a Medicinal Chemistry group on joint lead optimization 
projects.
·Provide consultancy on ADME optimization issues to internal and external 
project teams.
·Work with business development to generate business for ADME optimization 
and joint projects with Medicinal Chemistry.
·Work with the ADME optimization group in the UK to ensure alignment of 
science and business.

Requirements
·Expertise in pharmacokinetic analysis and interpretation.
·Minimum 5+ years industry experience in early ADME.  10+ years preferred.
·Minimum 5+ years experience of development of and running in vitro ADME 
assays.  10+ years preferred.
·Experience interacting with and supporting drug discovery projects.
·Good interpersonal, communication and management skills.
·Comfortable giving scientific presentations in business development and 
conference contexts.
·Ability to travel.

Preferred skills:
·10+ years industry experience in setting up, running and managing in vitro 
ADME assays including, metabolic stability, permeability, and CYP450 enzyme 
inhibition.
·Experience with in silico ADME methods.
·Experience with physiochemical measurements for evaluating potential drugs.
