DESCRIPTION: 
Associate Scientist I/II  Position

Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will join and execute a major
portion of a research effort focused on the engineering of therapeutic
antibodies.  The position will be involved in a number of areas within the
Antibody Discovery & Protein Engineering Department, and particularly in
antibody humanization/affinity maturation.  The candidate should be creative
and have an established record of independent research accomplishments in the
various molecular aspects of protein design.  The ability to work within a team
and with other groups is an absolute requirement.  

Requirements:
B.S/M.S. in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Immunology, plus 1-5 yr.s of
relevant work experience.  The ideal candidate must have proven technical
proficiency in at least two of the following areas: molecular biology as it
relates to protein engineering (particularly site-directed mutagenesis and
PCR); assay development (particularly ELISA); bacterial and mammalian cell
culture (particularly expression of recombinant proteins); protein purification
and characterization (particularly antibodies).  Additionally, some experience
with high throughput screening would be a plus.  The successful candidate will
be capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously and organize his/her
workload so as to meet deadlines
