Quality Control Assistant - Torrance, CA

I am assisting to recruit a QC Assistant for a biochemical company located 
in Torrance, CA.

Please note, you must live within a commutable distance of Torrance CA and 
have US work authorization.

JOB FUNCTION:

The Quality Control Assistant provides administrative and clerical
assistance to for the Senior Director, Quality Control.

Reports to: Senior Director, Quality Control

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Prepare and provide to Inventory Control intermediate and active
pharmaceutical ingredient (API) sampling plans
Liaison with and submit samples to contract laboratories
Assemble data packages and prepare analytical reports for intermediate and
API release
Prepare Certificates of Analysis and retest date extensions for
intermediates and APIs
Prepare Analytical Data Sheets for non-GMP products
Prepare stability study protocols
Provide stability study updates to Customer Service
Provide rapid response to requests for information from Customer Service
Perform data trending activities
Maintain files for Quality Control documentation (stability records, QC
projects, raw material data packets, etc)

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draft/revise specifications, procedures, protocols, and reports as necessary
Perform other tasks assigned by the Senior Director, Quality Control

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
BA or BS degree in a science discipline required

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
1.      Prior clerical and/or administrative assistance experience
2.      Prior experience in GMP Quality Control or Quality Assurance

SKILLS:
1.      Organized and highly motivated
2.      Ability to multi-task under pressure
3.      Ability to set priorities and to follow through on commitments
4.      Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
5.      Extensive computer skills
