Director, Clinical Pharmacokinetics Laboratory - Memphis, TN

I am assisting to recruit a Director, Clinical Pharmacokinetics Laboratory 
for the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences for a great organization 
located in Memphis, TN. Here are the details:

The Clinical Pharmacokinetics (CPK) Laboratory is a CAP accredited 
laboratory. The director will be responsible for the accurate and efficient 
performance of work assignments in the CPK Laboratory including quality 
control, competency assessment, proficiency testing and in fulfilling all 
regulatory requirements. The director must have extensive knowledge and 
expertise in current and emerging therapeutic drug monitoring techniques, 
including pharmacogenetic testing. The director is responsible for the 
successful migration of specific laboratory tests from protocol-only 
research applications to clinical applications.  He/she will assist 
departmental faculty in assay implementation and validation functions of the 
Cancer Center PK Shared Resource. He/she ensures performance of all quality 
management procedures as required by the hospital and the 
accrediting/licensing, funding and regulatory agencies and performs other 
related duties as assigned in order to meet the goals and objectives of the 
department and the institution. Substantial participation in departmental 
research is possible, depending on interest and expertise.

The successful candidate will have the following requirements:
· A Doctoral-level (PhD, MD, or PharmD) degree in a related field.
·  Be eligible to obtain a Tennessee laboratory director license. (Board 
Certified in Clinical Chemistry, toxicology or laboratory medicine required, 
Board Certified in molecular diagnostics or medical genetics desirable).
· Formal training in clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenetics is 
preferred.
· Five (5) years of laboratory experience is required of which at least two 
(2) years must be in therapeutic drug monitoring or a related discipline.
