algae O2 productions in function of light

Hello All
I'm a young researcher on bio-chemistry.
I'm interested on the algae production of O2 in function of light intesity;
expecialy from a mathematical point of view.

I used the function

P=a tanh(b I)+c

Where P is the production, a b the initial slopes I the light intensity
and c the respiration.

I would like to know if you could suggest me some references for my  work.
