Sick MCF-7: HELP!

I am carrying MCF-7 cells for the first time (purchased from ATCC and
frozen after 1 passage).  I thawed them out into DMEM supplemented with
L-glutamine and 10% fetal calf serum.  They are growing very slowly and
do not look healthy.  Is there a better media to use?  Should I be
adding additional supplements?
