Hi, Does anyone know how glycerol shock actually aids DNA uptake by cells or cell nuclei during cell transfection, or does anyone have a reference describing the mechanism (not the actual protocol tho'!)? Pubmed appears to have references that use the technique but none explaining why it works. Thanks in advance, David Zeitlin
