POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN MOLECULAR MOTORS
A post-doctoral position is available immediately to study the role of a
recently described (and very highly conserved) ~10 kDa light chain in the
function of microtubule-based motor enzymes. The project will utilize
dyneins from the flagella of Chlamydomonas as a model system and will
involve both biochemistry/molecular biology approaches coupled with
classical/molecular genetic analysis. A strong background in genetics
and/or molecular biology is required.
Interested applicants should send a curriculum vitae and the names and
addresses of 3 referees to Dr. Stephen King, Department of Biochemistry,
University of Connecticut Health Center, 263 Farmington Avenue, Farmington,
CT 06032-3305. Informal enquiries may be made by e-mail to
king at panda.uchc.edu.
