POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN CIRCADIAN BIOLOGY
An NIH funded postdoctoral position is available immediately to
investigate the circadian control of olfaction in Drosophila
melanogaster (see Nature 400, 375-378, 1999). Current projects focus
on identifying the cells that mediate olfactory rhythms, defining the
molecular mechanisms that control olfactory rhythms and determining
the effects of olfactory rhythms on behavior. The successful
applicant will be part of the UH circadian clocks group, which
includes post-docs and graduate students from four labs in the
department. Training in electrophysiology is essential and experience
in genetics and/or molecular biology is preferred.
Salary range for this position is $27,000-32,000, commensurate with experience.
Interested candidates should send (fax or e-mail) their CV and
