Postdoctoral position in cell growth control

An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available immediately to
participate in ongoing studies of how cell growth and proliferation are
regulated during development. The project will use biochemistry,
genetics and molecular analysis to characterize the Drosophila homolog
of TOR/FRAP, a PI3K-related kinase which coordinates cellular responses
to growth factors and nutrition (Zhang H, Stallock JP, Ng JC, Reinhard
C, & Neufeld TP. 2000. Regulation of cellular growth by the Drosophila
target of rapamycin, dTOR. Genes & Development 14:2712–2724). Our
laboratory is a part of the Developmental Biology Center, a highly
interactive group of adjacent fly, worm, frog, fish and mouse labs at
the University of Minnesota. Candidates should have a strong background
in molecular biology or genetics. Please send CV, statement of
