Please post the following ad for two postdoctoral positions:
Postdoctoral Positions, Developmental Genetics
MCB Department, Brown University, Providence, RI, USA
We are interested in cell fate specification and the molecular
mechanisms underlying this process, especially the role of BMP
signaling in the assignment of positional identity. Two positions
are avilable, one NIH-funded and the other by IFOPA. They will
support research on the interplay of ligand and ligand/receptor
interactions during general BMP signaling as well as in the
establishment of a BMP morphogen activity gradient. Our lab recently
moved into a new building and is part of a very active research
community including a core group of fly labs and a group of
development labs with diverse interests.
Priority will be given to highly motivated applicants that have
demonstrated expertise in the following: Drosophila genetics, basic
molecular biology and cell biology techniques, and/or biochemistry.
Applicants should send a CV, 1-2 page statement of research
accomplishments and interests, and the names and contact information
