I developed a thermodilution procedure for cardiac output
measurement in mice. The device can be used to determine heart
rate, stroke volume, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure and
mean pressure. The system has automated injection device with
computer controlled. I found the cardiac output in mice ranges
between 10 and 12 ml/min. This procedure will be helpful in
assessing cardiovascular parameters in transgenic mice research.
In addition, the device can be used in any animal starting from
mice to horses. If anybody is interested, please e-mail your
postal address. I will be happy to send you all information.
