ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
VERTEBRATE PHYSIOLOGIST
The Department of Biology at Southwest Texas State University
invites applications for a tenure-track position in Vertebrate Physiology
with specialization in aquatic organisms. We are looking for an individual
who utilizes physiological, cellular and/or molecular techniques in the
study of whole-organism physiology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and
postdoctoral experience, and will be expected to develop an independent,
externally-funded research program involving undergraduate and M.S.
students. Teaching duties will include advanced undergraduate/graduate
courses in vertebrate physiology, endocrinology and/or toxicology, and
contribution to freshman biology. The Biology Department at SWT, a
comprehensive state university of 20,000+ students, consists of 35 faculty,
100 graduate students and 1300 undergraduate majors, and has strengths in
aquatic biology, ecology and cell/molecular biology. Applicants should
