Dear group,
I have a question in relation to the C4 plants leaf morphology. In the
arid zones with a hight content of calcium sulfate in the soil, we find
some C4 plants. Their leaves area little bit cras. My questions is what is
the origin of this? Has it any relation with the Kranz-type anatomy? Is
there any process of protein disrruption (like the cloruore halophites)?,
or it is simply because the water store tissue?
Any help will be apreciated,
Thank you in advance,
Clara
