Research fellow in Agrohydrology and Bioclimatology
Applications are invited for a post as research fellow at the Department of
Agricultural Sciences , KVL (The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural
University). The appointment is expected to be effective from 1st of January
1999 to 30th of June 2001.
The post is funded by Danish Agricultural and Veterinary Research Council
with a view to implementing a research project on "Investigations of
important factors involved in the regulation of drought-stress in C3 and C4
crop species: Internal chemical signalling processes, altered carbon
metabolism and gene expression". The post mainly involves research and
development, but the appointee may be required to undertake a limited
amount of lecturing or other duties.
The post assumes academic qualifications at the Ph.D. level or similar level
within central areas of plant physiology with special emphasis on chemical
signalling processes. Applicants' research potential will carry the greatest
weight. Abilities to act on one's own initiative and to take part in
teamwork are also desirable. Applicants having graduated more than 8 years
ago will not normally be considered. Applicants will be assessed in
accordance with Ministry of Research Directive 650, dated 31. August 1998.
Applications must include a full curriculum vitae with documentation for
academic degree, a complete list of publications, copies of publications
that the applicant wishes to be included in the assessment, information on
any pedagogic qualifications and teaching experience and a list of all
enclosures. In addition to the material applicants themselves wish to be
included in the assessment, the committee may also draw on other material.
Upon request, applicants should require to submit such material to the
committee.
Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the agreement
between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Federation of Graduate Employee
Unions).
