POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION: PLANT AND SOIL C AND N DYNAMICS

A post-doctoral position is available to work on a multi-investigator,
NSF-funded project that examines the effects of elevated carbon dioxide
on soil C and N dynamics and isotope composition, gaseous nitrogen loss,
and nitrogen fixation by biological soil crusts in the Mojave Desert.
The fieldwork for the project will be at the Nevada Desert FACE Facility
(NDFF).  The successful applicant must be willing to work at desert
field sites for extended periods.  A Ph.D. in ecology or related field
is required by the starting date.  Knowledge and experience with stable
isotopes, soil N and C transformations, or trace gas analysis is
