I am working in wheat now and need a help from maize people.
A gene that causes hybrid dysgenesis have been transfered to wheat from
related wild species Aegilops.
The gene causes massive chromosome breakage and successive stractural
rearrangement in wheat genome.
I would like to test a hypothesis that the gene is related to any known
transposons by hybridizing these elements.
I already got an autonomous Mu probe. If anybody can provide me other
transposon probes like Ac and Spm, I will highly appreciate.
Please contact me through E-mail (snasuda at plantpath.ksu.edu).
Thank you in advance,
