Iowa State University, a leading land-grant university, announces a
major initiative in the plant sciences. Building upon its traditional
strengths in fundamental and applied plant sciences, Iowa State
University is committed to being a leading plant science research
center. Iowa State University is seeking to add 25 new faculty
positions during the next three years as part of the plant sciences
initiative.

Unless otherwise specified: All positions may be filled at the
assistant, associate, or full professor level and are tenured or
tenure-track with competitive start-up packages. Successful
candidates will be expected to develop energetic, internationally
recognized, extramurally funded research programs in their area of
specialization, and will be expected to effectively train graduate
students and participate in teaching programs at the graduate and/or
undergraduate levels. Departmental and college affiliations will be
determined in consultation with the candidate at the time of hire.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. Ph.D. in an
appropriate discipline is required. At the associate and full
professor levels, preference will be given to applicants with a
demonstrated record of competitive extramural funding. To apply, in
addition to specific items requested below, submit a letter of
application, curriculum vitae, statement of research and teaching
interests, and the names, addresses, email addresses, and telephone
numbers of at least three references to the address indicated.
