POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE FOR PINE GENOMICS

A postdoctoral position is available for a new Ph.D. or a more experienced
researcher. Research is focused on analysis of sequences of bacterial
artificial chromosomes containing pine DNA inserts, genome organization
studies, microsatellite marker development and database management. This
position will involve clone isolation, PCR and primer design, automated
sequencing and sequence data analysis.
Experience in cloning, subcloning, library construction and sequencing are
essential. Expertise in DNA sequence analysis, evolutionary and population
genetics would be important. Salary will be $25,000-$36,000 per annum,
commensurate with experience. Support is for two to four years, and can
start as early as December 1,1999.
