Postdoc Position, Institute for Genomic Diversity, Cornell University
Available immediately. This position is an integral part of the
"Evolutionary Genomics of Maize" project funded by NSF
(http://sun01pt2-1523.statgen.ncsu.edu/panzea/). Our efforts are primarily
devoted to ascertaining genetic diversity in maize using microsatellite
markers within the context of evolutionary biology, population genetics, and
conservation genetics. Responsibilities include experimental design,
collection, analyzing, and publication of data, presentation of results in
scientific journals and at meetings, writing grant proposals.
Requirements: Ph.D. and research experience in Plant Biology, Population
Genetics, Evolutionary Biology, or related field. Excellent verbal and
writing skills, ability to work well with staff, visiting scientists, and
