To all,

Sorry to bother people, but I am trying to help a reporter who is doing a
documentary on GM foods. Do you have any suggestions for her as she
describes below. I thought folks might have something for her
particularly with regard to video clips of a germinating seed? It needs
to be something that is not copyrighted.

Hi Peggy,

Thanks again for all your helpful suggestions on Friday regarding possible
visual images we might access to help explain how genetic engineering of
plants works for our documentary film project!

I may be looking for a needle in a haystack, but I would greatly appreciate
you circulating the following description of visuals that we're still
looking for:

Animations, photos or other images that help illustrate the difference
between traditional plant breeding and genetic engineering, especially with
respect to the actual microscopic manipulation itself -- how new genes are
inserted, all the way through the "grow-out" process. As we're trying to
illustrate the cycle of a seed, I'd also appreciate any suggestions of where
I might find great old or new time-lapse footage that actually shows the
cycle of growth of a seed.

Thanks so much for your time and referrals. I'll look forward to letting you
know when the piece is done and if it might be helpful to you, as well.

Best,

Catherine
