Post-doctoral Research Associate in Soybean Genomics
A post-doctoral research associate position is available at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Applications will be taken until April 1, 2004 or when a suitable applicant is identified. The primary responsibility of this person will be to perform manual editing of the BAC fingerprints and engage in the construction of an integrated genetic and physical map of the soybean genome. This is a collaborative project between Dr. Gary Stacey's and Dr. Henry Nguyen's laboratories as part of a soybean genomics program funded by the United Soybean Board. Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain effective work relationships with others in a large research team are essential. Individuals with a Ph.D. degree in Genetics with some experience in bioinformatics are suitable for this position.
