Sexing of Birds

Martin,
        We have done this very thing in our lab.  It involves a DNA extraction
from blood, restriction digest and Southern analysis with a female specific
probe acquired from England.  This was done with 40-50 pinyon jays with 100%
accuracy.  I don't have the particulars off the top of my head.  If you are
