correct me if i'm wrong (as if anyone would refrain! :) ), but i was
under the impression that sds binds proteins with such affinity that
adding potassium (to precipitate "PDS") would also precipitate the
protein as well. after all, isn't that the basis of alkaline lysis
plasmid preps??
btw, some manufacturers (e.g. boehringer) make beads which claim to
absord sds...
