35 mm slides of gels - help

I take a picture using Polaroid 55, with the camera zoomed way out so
that the gel fits into a 35mm area.  This is easy for me since my camera
has a 35mm mark on the view finder.  After I develop the negative, I
cut the picture of the gel out of the negative using a piece of 35mm film 
as a template and slip it into a 35mm frame.
