downward DNA transfer?

Hello, I had a problem with this downward DNA transfer before, and now 
I rectified that problem which was "short-circuit" as I was noticed in 
this BBS. 
Unlike upward standard DNA transfer technique, this downward has a big 
chance to be short-circuit between upper and lower constructs. How do 
you make construct above the gel? If it is not too thick enough, wick 
ppaper may have chance to contact lower paper towel construct which i
just below the gel.
