Extraction of DNA from agarose gels

I advocate using GELASE gel-digesting prep. for the most efficienremoval of DNA
from agarose gels.  It is available from EpicentTechnologies of Madison WI ,
USA FAX (608) 258-3088.  The DNA obtained by usinTGelase digestion is suitable
for any molecular bi
manipulations.  The gel slice (in low melting agarose) is melterated to 45C,
digested with GELASE, and alcohol precipitated (if desired).
