Antigenicity of GST tag.

Hi, 
I produced polyclonal antibody against GST fusion protein. The polyclonal
antibody that I got has a good specificity to my protein, but react poorly
with GST protein. Does anybody know why GST is not a good antigen or have
the same experience? Thanks in advance.
