Millipore Bioimage system question

I recently joined a lab that has a Millipore Bioimage gel
documentation system.  Currently, this is attached to a defunct Sun
box.  I traced the Bioimage system as far as its sale to Genomic
Solutions, but can find no mention of it after that.  Does anybody
know of a way to salvage this system, or are we stuck with an
excessively large paperweight?
