cytofluorimetric analysis and G2/G1 ratio

I have analysed my cells through FACS. The software counted 80% G1 cells,
10% S cells and 10% G2 cells. The problem is that the G2/G1 ratio was 1,84.
How is it possible? Doesn't this ratio mean what I think (n° of G2 cells/n°
of G1 cells)? Does this ratio mean something else? I've read some literature
and discovered that sometimes G2/G1 ratio increases to even 20, when there's
some early blockade in cell cycle (eg. after a chemical stress).
Please, tell me how to understand the real meaning of this value. Thanks in
advance.
