A system called GelCompar, based on comparative Analysis of
Electrophoresis Whole Cell Protein Patterns, from Applied Maths,
Kortrijk, Belgium, has been developed, which we find very suitable to
build up databases. Unfortunately no Soil-databases do exist at this
moment for GelCompar. We are trying to use it in combination with BioLog
for the identification of soil micro-organisms.
