The Artificial Intelligence Review Journal is a quarterly,
refereed International journal that publishes state-of-the-art
research and applications and critical evaluations of the
techniques and algorithms from the fields of artificial
intelligence.
This special issue is dedicated to fundamental and applied
research on the applications of artificial intelligence
technologies for biological and agricultural applications. The
topics of the special issue will include, but are not
limited to
* Computer vision/imaging techniques or systems,
pattern recognition methods for agricultural production, food
processing, quality control and other biological/biotechnological
applications
* Flexible automation, robotics, and intelligent machines
*Expert decision support systems for biological
processes/systems, agricultural production and food
processing,biotechnological applications; knowledge
acquisition and representation processes; expert system
development tools and environment etc.
* Neural networks, fuzzy logic or neuro-fuzzy systems
and their applications for different biological and
agricultural applications; use of neural networks or
fuzzy logic for adaptive process control, intelligent
decision making processes, and pattern recognition
applications in these disciplines.
* Multispectral imaging techniques and sensors,
image analysis techniques
* High speed computer imaging: Issues related to
on-line or real-time applications, sensors, hardware,
software,techniques
Perspective authors are invited to submit four hard
C
copies to Dr. Suranjan Panigrahi or Dr. K.C. Ting (address given above) by Feb
29, 1996.
Each paper will be reviewed by two reviewers working in the related area.
The papers will be evaluated for
originality, significance, soundness and clarity.
The detailed guideline on the Instructions
to the authors can be obtained from the guest
editors.
