B.subtilis do not like 4C storage - they die. You can store them on plates
wrapped in parafilm or like for a number of weeks after they have sporulated.
We store spores on slopes at 4C for long periods(years). Simply make a slope,
inubate for a few days. Check under the microscope that youhave a good number
of spores, then seal it tight and store at 4C.
