Hi! Does anybody know methods for cell lysis and
genomic DNA isolation which are efficient for
Gram-positive bacteria, too?
It does not matter although the DNA shears < 10 kb.
Usual proteinase-K and SDS treatments seem to lyse
Gram-negatives, but not equally well Gram-positives.
Sonication, bead-mill? Have you experience?
