Look these up:  See Table 16.9 in Brock et al. (eds.), 1994, 7th Ed. 
of Biology of Microorganisms.  List of 10 fermentations.

Heere's two off top of my head:

1. Mixed acid fermentation by E. coli and other enteric bacteria 
(basis of biochemical ID)

2. Acetone Butanol Ethanol (ABE) fermentation by Clostridium 
acetobutylicum (C. butyricum)  (used in commercial scale in WWII and 
now(?) in S. Africa)

Please help!!!   Does anyone know an example of a fermentation reaction 
carried out by any bacterium?
