Can anyone please tell me which prokaryotes have been directly found to lack both the TCA cycle and cytochromes (or electron transport, oxphos)? Do these examples also have/lack de novo pyrimidine synthesis (CP to UMP)? Perhaps the presence or absence of this latter path is not known?
