"Mechanisms of Microbial Adaptation"July 7-August 3, 1996

An intensive course intended for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows,
and industrial research scientists who desire advanced training in the
current techniques and research strategies of Microbial Physiology. The
course will consist of laboratory instruction and lectures by departmental
faculty and invited speakers. Topics to be covered include: adaptive
responses during fermentations, biochemistry and regulation of
autotrophism, enzymology of methanogens, and regulation of carbon
