Not entirely on topic BUT I can't resist the reminder that in a fifties
film (Doctor in the House?) a would be medic was asked in his finals
viva what he would do on a desert island when presented with a suspected
swallowed doorknob. He suggested that an X-ray would be appropriate - he
was told firmly that this was a desert island - there would not be any
X-ray equipment. His response was there would not be many doorknobs
either - would there ?
