May I impose on your time to introduce myself?
I am a young researcher, for a Ph. D. degree in Feb., 1995 in department of
Genetic Science, Chosun University, Kwangju, Korea, and have been working
with chlamydial pathogenesis with Professor Yeal Park. The thesis entitled ;
Improve method for diagnosis of chlamydial infections and properties of
protein which related Chlamydial trachomatis invasion to McCoy cell. In
thesis, I was prepared monoclonal antibodies to C. trachomatis, and reveal
the pathogenic factors by using ELISA and immunoblot assay.
I would very much like continue my research work, but here in our laboratory
is not prepared further research systems. I am interested in the mechanisms
of microbial pathogenesis and host cell defense mechanisms, especially host
cell membrane receptors. From these reason, I write a brief letter for the
possibility of postdoctoral fellowship in your laboratory.
I wonder if you provide me with an opportunity to work with you. Also, you
have a postdoctoral fellowship and are interested in letting me work with
you, please let me know.
If you have no such fellowship, I would appreciate it very much if you could
introduce me to someone else who is looking for a young researcher like me
and might be interested in hiring me as a postdoctoral fellow.
