The Bureau of Laboratories of the Texas Department of Health will
offer, for the first time, a workshop dealing with E coli serotype
0157:H7. On April 24, participants in this workshop will review
the basic techniques of isolating, culturing and identifying this
medically important Gram negative bacterium. They will see
demonstrations and receive hands-on experience in the techniques
which are applicable to working with the organism. The latest
molecular typing techniques used in the definitive study of E coli
0157:H7 will be shown and discussed.
Participants earn 0.6 CEU through the P.A.C.E. program of
ASCLS. Fee is $65. DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS APRIL 9
