As I understand it you are asking for something that will stop microbial 
growth but is a natural product and non-toxic, non-allergenic and 
non-poisonous if drunk. If such a thing existed we would all be up to 
our armpits in it !
Natural preservatives such as sugar, salt and fruit acids at high 
concentration all seem to be ruled out. The best real natural 
preservative I can suggest is heat - tyndallisation (repeated short 100 
degree C treatments might work with delicate materials.
