Dear Colleague,
You may want to refer to the 'Microbial underground Salmonella page' for
your problem (www.qmw.ac.uk/~rhbm001/salmopage.html), reading the
excellent updates of the CDC, Atlanta on the subject. In our experience
it is almost impossible to rid reptiles of their Salmonella arizona; it
is their normal gut flora after all (think about ridding humans of
intestinal E. coli!). You rather select for antibiotic resistance in the
salmonellae than free your pets of them.
