If your manure is delivered in a solid form, you could try covering it
under a plastic sheets for a couple of weeks. I seem to recall some
work with poultry manure that showed the heat generated by composting
is enough to kill off most of the bad guys. I'm afraid I don't know
how many good guys are killed in the process, or the references of any
published results, so you may have to do some testing.
