Looking at the Merck Index, 12th edition, #3731, I find both EPOGEN and
PROCRIT listed on the same line as epoetin alfa, human epo produced by
recombinant technology.  Contains 165 amino acids; molecular weight
30,400 daltons.   It would appear that EPOGEN is the Amgen name, and
PROCRIT is the Ortho name for the same molecule.  Tom McCloud
