This is a tutorial-type conference organised by Profs Nigel Brown, Chris
Thomas and Steve Busby. The course is especially aimed at PhD students and
postdocs working in (or about to start work in) this exciting area. The
meeting is open to participants of all countries (especially NATO
countries) and the number of participants will be limited to approx. 90.
The course will include lectures, oral and poster presentations, tutorials
and workshops. It is hoped that most participants will present posters of
their work and that some participants will give short informal 15 minute
talks about their research area.

COST: Participants' board and lodging at Chamberlain Hall, University of
Birmingham, during the course will be covered by NATO. Participants will
be expected to find their own travel expenses, although a small amount of
funding may be available for travel in cases of very special need.
