Does anyone have a good assay (or reference) to fluorimetric assats of
glycolytic activity? I have used MUG and other methylumbelliferyl
compounds, but am not sure that a substrate exists for glucose-specific
enzyme systems. Would 4-MU-glucoside work? I want to evaluate effect of
various membrane-active compounds on maicobial metabolism.
